A phone shows a blank page or mobile data

Phones test captive networks differently from laptops. They may keep mobile data available while the WiFi connection is not yet authorised.

  1. Forget the SSID and reconnect from WiFi settings.
  2. Temporarily disable privacy relay or VPN features that intercept captive checks.
  3. Keep the captive window open until authorization finishes.
  4. If it stays blank, close it and open http://neverssl.com while still joined to the SSID.
  5. Confirm normal HTTPS browsing after the connected screen appears.

The venue should not require guests to permanently disable mobile data. If multiple phones fail while a laptop succeeds, record the device and operating-system versions and contact support.
