Set session and returning-guest behaviour

Session length controls the access period granted by the supported hardware path. Returning-guest behaviour controls whether a known device can bypass the portal during an eligible remembered window.

  1. Open Guest WiFi Builder → Access.
  2. Choose a maximum session length that matches the venue. Three hours is a practical default for many hospitality visits.
  3. Decide whether returning guests should see the portal again.
  4. Publish the change and re-run the hardware test if it materially changes authorization behaviour.

Use always show Guest WiFi when the venue needs a fresh interaction on each eligible connection. Use a remembered return window only when repeated access without the portal is intentional and the hardware path supports it reliably.

Private or randomized device addresses can cause the same phone to appear as a new device. For repeat testing, use the operating system's fixed or stable private-address mode for that SSID.
